Are we ready?! 31 Days and 31 Ways to be a Better Mom commences NOW!
For those who have been following this blog, you likely know that some of my favorite topics to write about are parenting and raising our children – the good, the bad, the ugly. The sweet and the bittersweet. The funny and the sad. Because, as a mom (or dad!), it becomes all too self-evident after you hold that little bundle of joy and pure heaven for the first time that your life is no longer going to be the same. That whatever you thought was important before, isn’t. And that who you’re really planning the future for has just arrived.
Well, in that light, and in conjunction with my own desire to better myself as a mom to my own two daughters, I have signed up for what may be the most daunting task I’ve undertaken with this blog to date.
31 Day Writing Challenge – 31 Days and 31 Ways To Be A Better Mom
I have committed, along with a whole host of other bloggers, to write for 31 days about any number of topics we hold near and dear. From fashion to foodies, and everything in between, we all have chosen our topic!
When I thought about what I wanted to focus on for the month of October, it really only took me a minute to decide – I want to spend my 31 days writing on ways we can all be a better mom. Not huge insurmountable tasks. Not trying to be the crafty, Pinterest style Mom we see on tv. Not being the best cook or the best multitasker.
Just being the best Mom – which, when we really think about it, doesn’t take a LOT of anything but our time, our thought and our love. And I’m pretty sure we can all glean a little extra as fall settles in.
I’m Writing For the Same Reason You’re Reading
And please know, I’m writing this series for you, my readers, ever bit as much as I’m writing it for myself. Because every day I wake with the best of intentions, but most nights I realize that I probably lost my cool, didn’t show patience, or forgot my kids were kids at some point that day.
My 31 day series won’t be a place where parents should come looking for perfection. Quite the opposite. Each day you will find a post written for the every day mom. A simple action, a funny takeaway, or a plan of action that you can try out for that day.
I’m betting your kids will notice. And I’m betting that as you see them light up, you will as well. Because happy is contagious. And joy comes from all different sources but one of the greatest is seeing your children happy and feeling confident that you’ve got this.
Don’t Miss A Thing!
So I hope you will come along on this month-long journey with me. Be sure to check back each day for a new post in the 31 Days and 31 Ways To Be A Better Mom Series.
Because I don’t want you to miss a thing, I will include links to each day’s series in each new post.
Be Entered To Win!
The best way to make sure you are in the loop is to follow me on Facebook or sign up for my newsletter. That way you will be sure to not miss a thing! If you sign up for my newsletter, you will be entered to win Your Best Life Now For Moms!
I’m so looking forward to taking this journey with you, and I sincerely hope you will share your own inspirations and challenges along the way.
With Love,
Hillary
